And the Devil Flees...

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

It's true you know, what an absolutly amazing and promising passage this is.
The submit seems intricately connected to the humility in the preceeding verse.

If I could tell you that at any time of testing or struggle, that you can make the Devil flee, what a liberation. Well, just read the above.

Have you experienced the reality of this simple promise?

I had a dream once, in which I now believe, I was attacked by a demon. I called out "Stop in the name of Jesus!" and instantly the dream ended and I gained consciousness. (Even though my body still slept and didn't move)

I knew the devil flees at the name of Jesus, but it meant a whole new thing after I gained that personal experience!

Yeah. I've had the occaisional dream where demonic presence seemed to be there. As for this post, it came directly from a victory God gave me over lust in my mind. I believed the promise and God delievered me. I'm pretty grateful for that!!
